Celebrate Juneteenth with NXT | CLT

Join us for an extraordinary journey through African-American history with the Homage Exhibit, curated by Nia McAdoo from NXT | CLT's inaugural cohort. This traveling exhibit, Homage: Black Life, History, and Culture, is part of our Juneteenth celebration, inviting you to explore a thoughtfully curated collection of artifacts tracing the trajectory from the dark era of enslavement to the triumphant milestone of Barack Obama's historic presidency.

On display, you will find artifacts related to notable figures such as Booker T. Washington, Elizabeth Catlett, Frederick Douglass, Shirley Chisholm, Madame CJ Walker, and more. This exhibit invites you to engage with the triumphs, struggles, and enduring resilience of African Americans throughout history. It profoundly reflects on the unconquerable human spirit and the power of collective progress.

Support us as we support emerging Charlotte Metro Businesses

As we celebrate National Small Business Month, NXT | CLT recognizes the invaluable impact that small and emerging businesses have on the Charlotte Metro Area. Every small business represents a dream, one that drives innovation, creates jobs, and fosters economic mobility in our community. Our mission is clear: we're dedicated to supporting passionate entrepreneurs with essential resources while fostering an inclusive and thriving business ecosystem. Our vision is about transforming lives to equitably serve all entrepreneurs in the community, with a purposeful focus on People of Color yet open to all.

This month, let's rally behind our local heroes by shopping local, sharing their stories, and celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship that propels Charlotte forward. As an organization committed to creating “Equity for All,” we thank you for sharing your cultures with us and look forward to working together to build a world of equality, belonging, and empowerment.

The sessions were great. But also the leadership and being able to engage with the leaders who were actually facilitating the program.
